Incense of Spring Sleep" manga story from volume 34, and was shown on odd numbered days at the "It's A Rumic World" exhibition in Tokyo from July 30th to August 11th. together with two other specials for Urusei Yatsura and Inuyasha.

In the near future, probably in Japan, long after robots have been put to practical use, and not so long since human-type robots, or androids have appeared.
Due to the Robot Ethical Committee, people take it for granted to treat robots as electronic appliances. However, because of their human appearance, except for the halos above their heads, some humans - called "dori-kei" (android-style) - are becoming too attracted to these androids, and this is causing new social problems.
Rikuo has been taught to treat androids the way he does since he was a child, he does not think of androids as human beings, and uses them as useful tools. One day, he discovers that ominous words were recorded in home-android Sammy's activity log:

The warrior kingdom of Kuruda is home to the fiercest fighters in the world, men and women who live solely for the chance to fight, and become the greatest in the world. And no one is so intent on this goal as the young Gau Ban, who dreams of becoming a new generation of warrior. He and his adopted sister Elle, their companions, and the legendary Scarface train and battle for the mastery of the Shadow Skill.
Shadow Skill began with the pilot OVA, which was followed by the OVA series prequels. The TV series begins the story anew and covers the same ground.

A little south of the mainland, there is an isolated island covered by gentle slopes. Climbing up the stone steps leading up from the base of the island, one can see the town and the sea from the summit. On that hill, there is a school which the protagonist, Hoshino Wataru, attends. On another hill nearby stands the old school building that was refurbished into a dormitory.
However, the company whose factory made up a large portion of the island's industry decides to shut down its operations. As a direct result, the number of students is decreasing. The lack of attending students only leaves Wataru and a few girls, mischievously called his harem, living at the dorm.
Together with a new student transferring in during this unlikely period, they try to enjoy carefree days, before they inevitably have to part ways.
